Hello all, I am Arswyds (Are-zwids), also known as Mez..and as my user name suggests, Arswyds is my main comic, updated roughly every two weeks. (Though that depends on how much school work is dropped on me from a great height.)
I'm a highschool student, sixteen years old and hope to take a university degree in animation later on...though it's a little difficult for me since I wasn't allowed into the art course art my school.
I'm rather err...quirky, my storylines are often rather..well bleak, they do contain violence and gore usually, but that's just the sort of comic artist I am. I've been influenced a lot by anime and manga, and my comic Arswyds has been more than a little bit affected by my love of the film Akira. Though it's not comfortable viewing..it's a must watch for anyon who enjoys sci-fi or anime.
I'm rarely found not doodling a character in my notepad, usually in class when I should be concentrating on the topic..but I cannot help it..a blank piece of paper is waaay too tempting.
I'm still getting to grips with imaging software, but my grasp of it is improving quickly..and I hope my art can do Arswyds justice.
I've also started Phantasmagoria, a victorian dark fantasy/ horror set in an alternative England. It's something I've been toying with for a while.
