I started writing short stories back in my Senior year in highschool, just for fun. It wasn't until I got into college as a Biology major that I thought about publishing in print or on the web. In my Sophmore year (2005), I started writing the manuscript for All Saints, my first foray into graphic novels, and two years and over a thousand pages later, the story is far from over. I'm just now posting the story to the public, and I hope to keep it going for a long time.
I'm a big fan of old-school gaming (the original DOOM series, not to mention the very first Quake and other old-school PC and Nintendo games). Bethesda Softworks and EPIC Games currently co-own my soul.
My biggest literary influences are H.P. Lovecraft (have literally read every single piece of his work), August Derleth, Robert A. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, George Orwell and Arthur C. Clarke. (Gotta love the classics).
Favorite comics are Frank Miller's Sin City, Michael Allen Nelson's Fall of Cthulhu and Neil Gaiman's The Sandman.
I don't really read much manga or watch that many animes, save for a few exceptions (two being Full Metal Alchemist for great storytelling technique and Ghost in the Shell for actually focusing on the "science" aspect of "science-fiction" rather than just being full of one mindless action sequence after another that most so-called "sci-fi" shows/movies are full of these days).
All Saints currently updates every Sunday!
