Hi, my name is Paul. P.B. Maxx was a nickname I had when I was younger because my initials were as you guess it...P.B. PB Maxx came from the initials and the fact a candybar of a similar name came out around that same time. I felt it was only fitting to use it as my pen name since all the comics I will be posting on here were created and drawn at that very time of my life, which was the early/mid nineties. I do realise that the artwork is kind of crappy looking, but I had a lot of fun making these comics as well as many fond memories. Those were the times I rediscovered comics and delved into them head first.
-Fight or Flight-
This was a comic I started in 1993 when I was a sophomore in highschool. It was originally called The Vanilla Comic, one of the pages inside explains the story behind the name. It was the second comic series I ever made.
-The Ski-Mask Thug-
This was a comic I started in 1995 when I was a senior in highschool. It originated from a crappy picture I drew when I was drawing a bunch of random characters that I might use for a comicbook. I really liked the character for some wierd reason, so I started drawing more pictures of him and the next thing I knew, I had a comic. I would show the pages to my friends as I got them done, and they really liked them, so I kept making more. I actually worked on the title for a bit in 2005, working on revisions and better character designs, but as I worked on it, it ended up being too much like another Punisher rip-off, so I dropped it. I still really like the story, mostly because I took a few things that were going on in my life at the time, and put them into the story. Also the main villan is designed after someone who did me wrong at that time. The main was designed after my best friend who also helped me out on the comic in giving me ideas, as well as drawing the second issue.
