Webcomics was the one thing I never thought I'd be part of. Oh, I read 'em, sure, but create one? Fat chance.
Then came the Hatpire.
I originally created the Hatpire for a webcam chat I participated in. The chat was part of an ARG, a viral marketing campaign for a new vampire-themed TV show. In the chat, you had to convince a vampire you were also a vampire so she would let you into the website.
I chose to communicate by drawings, so I prepped a lot of sketches of a little vampire guy along with words, and when my turn came up, flipped through them. It was a hit and I got addicted to the character.
So there's Hatpire in a nutshell. Me? I'm Becky Turpin, mid-20's with a full-time job completely unrelated to my graphic design degree. Go figure.
