'Sup People! I'm relatively new to DD, but I'm fully obsessed... it's kinda sad. Anyhoo, I've always wanted to be a syndicated cartoonist, and have been sending in submissions to syndicates since I was 14. Basic goal: NOT slave away in an office building, and be able to draw funny little pictures for a living. Is that too much to ask? Apparently, yes, thus far anyway. But I keep trying.
Just sent out my latest submission in April of my new creation, "Zorphbert and Fred". I have high hopes for these guys. You can also check out my retired comic "Leftovers" here on the duck. It was my baby for almost 12 years.
If you care to know, I work as a graphic designer for a snack foods company in NJ and live in Havertown, PA with my guy, Rick (aka "jetblack76"!). And my pet rats ;0) More random facts:
- I'm originally from Cleveland, OH and I'm a die-hard Cleveland sports fan. Apparently I like misery.
- "Scrat" from Ice Age, the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?", and "The Christmas Story" never fail to make me laugh until I cry.
- I've been a big Smashing Pumpkins fan for 13 years, and I'm not embarrassed to admit it!
- If you offer me ice cream, I'll do damn near anything. Within reason, you perverts ;0)
Hey, just wanted to say I hope to see your comic in syndication someday soon. I'm sure it will happen for you. Also, what do you think of the latest Smashing Pumpkins album?
