About Dot Dot Dot...
The Panel revolves around the conversations of three main characters named "Dick", "Shopsey" and "Random Girl".
The original idea was to create a strip where just enough information is given to create in image in the readers mind, but also forced them to fill in the background.
Since then, the strip has evolved beyond that original idea into what it is today; however, that underlying philosophy remains.
Personally, I have always found that the funniest comics are the ones that make me do a little work in my own imagination... So basically "Dot Dot Dot..." is my attempt at recreating that idea.
A Little About Me...
I am 30 years old... I reside in a town called Mount Albert, about 30 minutes North of Toronto; In Ontario, Canada.
I spent much of my youth either partying or working in Bars. My favorite place to draw still remains over a pint at the pub!
I enjoy many things most people hate... Like talking politics or religion! I also find things funny that most other people take quite seriously! Although, I have always imagined that most people inclined to draw comics are probably much the same in that regard!
I enjoy music immensly... Listening, playing and writing it... I play the guitar and sing.
I have a bachelors degree from the University of Guelph... It's a general degree. I had a hard time picking a major... So I never did! I guess I was too busy drawing funny pictures or something!
I have been a fan of comics my whole life and have always been a a doodler. But, it wasn't until about 5 years ago that I started making my doddles talk to eachother! That was the birth of Dot Dot Dot... and I haven't looked back since.
My favorite cartoonists are Bill Watterson of "Calvin and Hobbes" fame and Gary Larson of "The Farside".
Both have been major influences on my strip...
Newer favorites include Jim Toomey of "Sherman's Lagoon" and Glenn McCoy of "The Duplex"...
... And that's a little about me!
Thanks for the read!
